The culture isn't as strong as the claim and is continuing to suffer as the company is growing and changing processes to try to keep up with the big dogs. I have seen many good people get terminated without any substantial and documented reasons. It seems often to be the managers opinion, and supported by HR, that the employee is not doing things the "Workiva way", regardless of their success. Management will often come up with reasons to substantiate the termination that are baseless. I and many others know that we need to "watch our backs" and play the game as any one of us could be next. It is discouraged to be an independent thinker and step outside of the box. Additionally, the company expresses their strong DEI stance, but there are very few employees of color and minimal diversity. This is a highly white-dominated culture, even though they try to hire a Hispanic, black or Asian periodically to give the image of being diverse. The products are also very limited in their scope and capability. If they do not come up with ways to offer more, the company will quickly be surpassed and even become irrelevant by the larger companies like Oracle and Microsoft, who will continue to refine the current competitive products and dominate the landscape. The CEO is great, but once he leaves, which I can't imagine will be too far out, I can see this company quickly being gobbled up and spit out. The increase in revenue will soon taper off as companies are beginning to recognize the inflated prices for the minimal return. Many of the most successful reps will leave as their quotas continue to climb and achieving these gets more and more out of reach. Just like the housing market, the quota bubbles will burst and there will be a need to adjust to fix for this.
