The pay does not come anywhere close to what it should be for the amount of work that is done in this position. The company compares the Order Manager position to a basic customer service representative, which is insulting. The Order Managers here have to forecast, plan months in advance, develop extensive system knowledge for some of the most basic processes, and constantly have unrealistic expectations cast upon them that puts the customer needs over an employees work/life balance. They are asked to make processes more "scalable" in order to limit the number of people they have to pay causing one person to cover the role of 2 or more people while not seeing an increase in pay, themselves. When questioning the pay scale, employees are told that working there should not be all about the money. They are also told that the cheap benefits are the main reason they pay appears less compared to other companies even though it does not come close to balancing out. More and more quality employees are leaving because they don't feel valued.
They require numerous time wasting meetings with individuals that you do not and may not ever work with in order to discuss the core values. Meanwhile, Order Managers frequently have to work overtime to makeup for the time wasted on top of the extra work that is required as a result of the lack of filled positions in the name of "scalability." If you speak against these meetings, you are told to "embrace the culture," even though they cause more stress on employees and get in the way of getting real work done.
They tell employees they are valued without showing it in their salary.
