Pros
Xerox has employs many very good, bright and dedicated people. People who genuinely care about their customers - the consultative selling, understand customer's needs and delivering on the promise. The new Xerox team members (former ACS) bring a new invigoration and excitement; but seem to have a "this is temporary" mentality... Meld the dedication and commitment of legacy Xerox people and the excitement of the new Xerox people - with a long-term vision and it will be a winning combination.
Cons
Staff and employees are fearful of loss of employment if issues or concerns are raised. Xerox' strength has been it's people, this can't continue when the people's spirits are crushed; leaving all with the "this is temporary" mentality. No doubt, change is needed to maintain viability - but the best and brightest should be encouraged to participate in the change - not be fearful of dismissal for suggesting Houston might have a problem! Senior management prefers to remain isolated from the great people of Xerox, from their customer's who have stay with Xerox through good and bad, and perhaps most disappointing - isolated from what is "really" happening. Denial and isolation - interesting "leadership"... leadership for the 30 - 60 and 90 days, quarter to quarter...
