Awful and abusive management at Yamaha Music London. Every morning begins with a team meeting where even the most motivated staff are put down and insulted. Staff are constantly told to boost sales but receive no support in doing so. For example: once I kept the store open 45 minutes after it closed to help a customer try and buy a 2.5K instrument. As soon as I had made the sale and showed the customer out the shop, the manager shouted at me for not cashing up the till in spite of watching me make the sale! Moreover how could I have made the sale if I had cashed up the till! This sort of paradox exemplifies every interaction with the store managers. As someone who has a long history of working in sales and retail I was really hoping to give it my all and build a career here. Alas, I was bitterly disappointed.

Pros

There are no pro’s, avoid at all costs

Cons

Horrible company to work with and work for. They push down their most talented employees and hire managers with no experience. They promote laziness and slowness and push down those that try to improve workflows. They are against anyone succeeding ever, everything is a secret need to know basis. Doomed company, soon to be bankrupt, avoid at all costs.
