Pros
Dedicated and great colleagues, good professional development opportunities, students are sweet. Packages are still relatively good. State of the art facilities.
Cons
This used to be one of the best places to teach in the region. Unfortunately, due to the economic situation the university is going through changes to the worse. Rash decisions, budget cutting, focus on accreditation, research output and turnover of students without real concern for learning and well being of students have made ZU an uncomfortable place to work. Professors are under pressure to get the students through the program quickly. Students are graduating without sufficient knowledge and skills to join the workplace. There is a feeling of fear and insecurity among the faculty.
