Lots of things going on - they were expanding the marketing team into USA, in order to focus business efforts in North America. Was fantastic to be part of this mission and work alongside a bunch of happy, talented people.
Cons
Timezones - I worked with the Melbourne team while living in ATX.
- Usually a pretty lax job
- Job is not very “corporate” in the sense that there’s not a super strict dress code (other than wearing a work shirt/hoodie, you can pick up or drop shifts pretty easily, quick approval for scheduling changes.
Cons
- Pay is not great
- Often understaffed so owners can save a tiny bit of money which adds a lot of stress
- Equipment breaks often and it takes a while for it to get fixed
