Pros

None in the context of wanting to join.

Cons

I have worked in places and this was no doubt an eye opener of what dysfunctional really means. Toxic CEO behaviour as follows: * Leads a culture of blame and fear * Playing employees against each other to extract information and to remain in control (big problem for her) hence creating hostile environment and animosity and tension between the team * Thrives on screwing people over (employees, contractors and more) - probably the worst trait of all * Often aggressive and rude with employees * Management style is ruling a kingdom not leading a company * Information is held hostage, Lacks to communicate and there’s zero transparency * Micromanages like crazy - pro tip > first thing you receive in your first weeks is how she’s disappointed with your performance and things can’t can’t continue this way * Constantly changing focus and creating chaos as a result * Huge ego and thinks is superior to the team Whilst the CEO is very good at PR and charming any external people / investors (including you when she wants to hire you!) internally the company is a melting pot of doom. All this selling of community (BS) she lacks creating and taking care of the most important community which is the team building the company! Ah the irony!! Yes building a company is hard and growing it harder but this is not the issue at this company and more so no justification for the horrors that happen in the name of "All the usual chaos of early stage startup” (from "former review". Don’t be a fool! Creating a shiny culture doc in a place starved of the most foundational values does not equate to a company with good culture.

Thank you for your review and for your being part of the Zyper Team. We strive to make each employee’s tenure with us rewarding and beneficial. I apologize that isn’t the experience you had. To your comment that Zyper is dysfunctional, I have to disagree. We function at a very high level but with all startups, things can change at a moments notice. I am sorry that Zyper let you down and would be happy to discuss this further over coffee.

Pros

One of my favorite aspects about working at Zyper was the fact that they worked with a compelling purpose to change the marketing industry by building genuine brand communities. Every week I was collaborating with team members and was introduced to new and exciting brands/clients. Zyper allowed for me to see how a marketing company operates and the skills it takes to be a part of an efficient team. Everyone at Zyper genuinely wants the best for their co-workers. If help is needed oftentimes team members will gladly step up to finish a task for another to achieve weekly goals. Managers are constantly checking in and making sure that everything is flowing smoothly. An incredible opportunity for anyone given the chance to work here.

Cons

No cons, Zyper is amazing!

Pros

The best part about Zyper is the people and being able to learn and grow along side of them. If you work here expect to feel challenged but also supported and motivated everyone here has your back and wants you to succeed. The managers and CEO want (and encourage) you to share your ideas. This truly is a family, there are good days and bad days but I feel so lucky to work for a place where I believe so strongly in the product and the people who work hard to make sure it is epic!! **make sure you add 'epic' to your vocabulary because that is said quite frequently here Zyper's response to the Covid-19 situation has been amazing. Management has been very transparent about the status of the company. They've offered us a stipend for our home office and have maintained the company culture through daily team chats, weekly meditation and yoga, #freeonfriday lunches, and virtual happy hour every Friday. Not only are we building communities for other companies, we're also building an epic community here at Zyper and I'm so happy to be apart of that!

Cons

Sometimes feeling isolated but that comes with the territory of being an EA :)

Thank you for your epic feedback! We want everyone in the Zyper Family to enjoy being part of the team and I am so glad you see the family feeling we have here. We want everyone to feel valued and supported and happy to see that you do. We will continue to support our employees during these crazy Covid times in the best ways we can. We will continue with the team chats, meditation and any other avenues that we can find to help during this stressful time.
