Pros
Fun culture! Sometime free food and booze, great people, beautiful space in a fun part of town.
Cons
I cannot understate the gap between the respect given to a full time (paid employee) and an intern. Although the intern program is well structured and makes it easy to jump in. You will be asked to do a lot of thankless work. I personally helped out with a ton of different projects throughout my time here and was only thanked a handful of times, whereas many paid employees coworkers got standing ovations for work that I helped with and didn't get even a name mentioned. Also there is a lot of pressure to work on an intern project and while this is a great way to apply learning it can also be extremely thankless and getting help can be frustrating. You have to constantly bug people to get things done for you and jump through all kinds of hoops into order to push progress. Also forget doing a redbit, they don't let interns speak at them, but no one told me that when I first asked. They just strung me along until the last week where a caring employee finally told me that it wasn't happening after I had prepared my material.
