No longer a good company

Pros

Half of the people that work at Epic are really good and there are some great projects

Cons

Epic since being purchased by an American company has really change the company dynamics for the worse. The senior management team (SMT) no longer take on advice from employees and just do whatever they think is best, the pay over the last few years is not competitive at all, they are so focused on growing the company they forgot about their current employees, staff surveys show that 41% of people are concerned with the direction of the company (and senior management thinks this is a great number) . Overall the culture over the last few years has really change and it’s just another big company that does not listen to its employees and only cares about revenue.

Pros

-Great team and working environment - the people are great to work with -Interesting projects and and strong pipeline (pending the team you're in) -Competitive Salary

Cons

-Disconnect between senior technical staff and junior consultants, with limited feedback and opportunity for growth at times -No overtime policy and limited TOIL recognition. -Changes from recent sale to American company. Changes in policies and management style evident. -Does not compare with to competitors (even similar size companies) when factoring in additional benefits such as overtime, TOIL, parental leave -High turn-over rate currently, with limited resources at times
