JOINING THIS COMPANY IS A WASTE OF TIME AND TALENT

I have worked in this organization for almost 6 months and I honestly would not recommend it to anyone.

Ethane opened their branch in Kolkata back in December 2019. Over the course of 6 months, they could not expand their team beyond 6 people. If there was one joinee, there would be at least one resignation too – this was a common occurrence every month. Now, here are the problems that I personally have faced from their organization. False salary promises – they offered me a CTC as the gross amount. They did not have the Kolkata branch registered yet so were unable to provide pf and esi. I was fine with that, but after one month of joining, they said that they will start deducting pf and esi which meant my in-hand salary would automatically decrease. They had not offered me the policies, so I had to protest quite a lot and eventually persuade the management. Random policies – there were unofficial policies popping up every week. They had a problem with everything. Come in a little late, they deduct your salary; fail to meet the word count, they deduct your salary. Also, they sent official mails to everyone on the team if an employee had failed to provide quality work. Imagine the entire team getting official notifications where you are berated for your work. The word limits kept on increasing every month. Not only was there pressure for not meeting your word count but they created a policy where they would mark you on a leave or half day depending on the word count. Unprofessionalism – The MD is the most ignorant and boastful person I have encountered professionally. Whenever he used to come to kolkata’s branch, he would keep on berating the city. He would claim that he drank 40 l of water a day. These were distracting and unpurposeful interactions and honestly just wasted our time. He also kept on talking very lowly of his wife. The problems that he faces and the issues that keeps on happening in his married life was an amusing topic of discussion according to him. Often times he would complain how his wife is no good and completely unattractive. Once when he brought his wife to the office, we all were surprised to see how well qualified and great that woman was. A man who speaks so low of his wife in front of his employees is a man who does not deserve any respect. Terrible management – there are so many issues that I could highlight for you guys. Ethane had the most unprofessional and bad management system. The HR had no say in anything. The HR back in Noida was pressured by the owner brothers to endorse policies. This resulted in a toxic mentality among every employee. As for the HR in Kolkata, she was the most incompetent person alive. She had no basic knowledge as to how to talk to coworkers. Also, the salary never came on time. We had received an official document of policies stating it would be transferred by 7th of every month. This happened for only the first month. In the following months of my association with the company my colleagues and I received the salary after 10th or 15th. Oh, and did I tell how pissed off they used to be whenever we asked about the salary and when we can expect them? The branch in Kolkata is named as Writers Corporation. I would say this to freshers and experienced candidates that if you wish to join this company, make sure that you are ok with all of the above problems.
