EyeCarePro is a fast-paced remote digital agency that has monopolized eye care marketing in North America. From a distance, it appears to be a great company to work for, but it's actually not. Firstly, you'll be expected to work beyond the hours stipulated in your contract to meet deadlines. They also have a lot of unnecessary meetings throughout the day, which take away essential work time. This also leaves you with little to no personal time at the end of the day. Don't even expect to get paid for working beyond 40 hours a week. There's a lot of favoritism in this company, so forget getting that promotion. They've let go of their American staff to hire in SOUTH AFRICA, yet the demographics don't reflect that. The pay discrepancies between employees are also shocking. The CEO constantly changes processes and asks us to buy various marketing books so we can "see his vision." What kind of company has 5 major process overhauls per year?! The CEO believes in micromanaging as he expected us to use a time tracker, track our time in an Excel sheet, AND track our time in Asana. The vacation days are also a scam, considering you have to use some of them towards public holidays. Public holidays aren't automatically considered an off day here. Overall, not the kind of company you should work at, unless you're extremely desperate for money.
