Italian or don't go there

Pros

- Gaming lounge - PretaManger every day ( you will get sick of it sooner or later ) but the effort is appreciated

Cons

If you are not from Italy or from the original crew that started the company you won't get far as it's all about them (that is where the fake family feeling tends to come from). All non Italians are in general ignored. Communication is almost nonexistent. You can have somebody 2 meters from you and you won't get any notice about a change even though they could send an email/message/shout/ You will get the message that : 'budget is always tight and salary raises are always coming soon but just so you know your salary is already over the market average' (when in fact it's not.. poor HR skills ) - Nolife at home ? the company will welcome you with opened arms as their slave - It's Friday night at 6pm -> 'unforeseen' release will keep you at work..with overtime..unpaid - If this is your first job after University go for it (for the CV experience otherwise avoid) (don't fall for the gaming industry dream bait) - Limited company mentality

A good place fresh out of uni but otherwise it's a waste of time

Pros

Game room and places to chill Well stocked kitchen Social company if that's what you like Good location Opportunities (if you speak up) to help at esports events they run Decent desks and gaming style chairs Good place to get a start in a hard industry to break into if you're fresh out of uni and have bags of energy (long hours)

Cons

Another reviewer has mentioned it but unless you're Italian you will feel like an outcast from the original members of the company, they will want basically nothing to do. If the CEO decides he wants something now, it has to be done right away, there is no other option. Also very hot-headed and loud which creates an awful environment to work in. No efforts are made to help newbies integrate into the company. Unless you're Italian, know people there already or are a social butterfly, no one will make an effort to welcome you to the company. Work from home options were very limited unless you are management who can WFH whenever they want to. If you have an appointment, you need to come into work and stay late rather than do the same work at home more efficiently. If you have too many doctor appointments or days off sick you will be reminded of how many days sick you've had and how unacceptable it is. Other teams are worked to the bone for poor pay. We were given unachievable targets for an understaffed team so we were always set up for failure.

Pros

Free food and drinks. Nice colleagues that are like family. You can learn from good developers. You can work from home.

Cons

Stressful work with many changes and often no planning. Impossible to have private life because there are many late releases. You can't have plans after work. No time to develop quality. Bad CEO .
