Pros

You are basically alone all day driving from business to business, if you want to go home at noon you can

Cons

Most businesses do not think they need to pay a company to clean windows, it just is not a priority to them... It is a very competitive business, commissions are usually $20-$40 a sale.

Pros

I have to write at least 20 words so... Owner was easy going and the hours were flexible BUT ...

Cons

... he has the WORST attitude towards customer service I've EVER seen!!! He said he deliberately won't be calling the customers that want to be called ahead. I feel that's crooked and shady of him. And the owner is BEYOND repetitive when he talks. It's insulting when someone talks to you and they have to repeat themselves because they think you don't understand. It's window cleaning! Its not that hard! He also couldn't route worth a crap and I told him numerous times I had a job for years where I routes and am good at it. He still rarely let me route though. And he called so many damn times a day and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get him to stop talking! Another previous employee and I felt we were extremely talked down to and felt the owner felt he had to babysit us. I hated going to work for the last month. At first it sounded promising but towards the end I felt I was just felt lines of crap. And I was sooo sick of hearing "thanks again! Great job!" or "Thanks again! awesome job!" That may be strange to get sick of hearing it I know. But it felt so scripted hearing it so often that it lost all meaning because it was constant. It lacked sincerity. I was going to be quitting on the spot at the end of the workday today or tomorrow if I was able to go out and work (I had an injury the last week). I was hired by a different company over the weekend and I start in one week. This new job pays more and offers health insurance. It worked out perfectly that I didn't have to wind up quitting on him and looking like the bad guy. I almost thanked him this morning when I was let go, lol 😊I'm so glad I'm out of there!

Pros

The hours aren't bad. M-F typically.

Cons

Here we go. The first paycheck I received was my biggest, that is because my first week of training I was paid hourly. After training, you are paid by commission. My rate starting out was 30% of each completed job. Sounds ok at first... except we work in two man teams normally so now you split the days total between two people. Also, jobs are underbid which can really hurt your production for the day. Now, not all jobs are underbid. Our franchise offers power washing as well, and these jobs are typically bid out pretty well. My partner and I were hired around the same time and our boss told us he'll get us trained on the power washers. It's been four months and we haven't had the opportunity to train on the on them. Instead of us getting cross- trained on the equipment, he'll give the other more experienced crew all the cushy jobs. You'll be working in the elements. In the heat and cold. You'll also be working on ladders, in garden beds, on uneven ground. Lots of wasps, bees, spiders. On hot roofs. It's exactly how it sounds, you clean windows for crap pay.... pretty terrible.
