Pros

Some offices, like the one in Budapest, have undergone recent transformations, resulting in a more open and inviting work environment. The company maintains outwardly stated values, suggesting a commitment to certain principles.

Cons

In numerous teams, particularly at the London headquarters, there's an entrenched toxic culture that pervades daily operations. The prevalent practice of clandestine communication with senior management to target individuals remains unchecked. Senior management consistently fails to confront and rectify the negative behavior exhibited by senior team leads, characterized by vocal aggression and frequent outbursts in the office or close proximity. Shockingly, instead of addressing these issues head-on, these toxic individuals are often rewarded with pay raises and promotions, further exacerbating the toxic environment. Despite numerous complaints brought to senior managers and HR, these individuals seem untouchable, creating a climate of fear where anyone targeted by them sees their tenure at the company swiftly limited. The company's touted core values, such as Empowerment and Innovation, are regrettably twisted in practice. Innovation is stifled unless it aligns with the agendas of certain individuals, leading to frustrating escalations and internal conflicts within teams, where vocal complainers are often rewarded with attention from senior management as praise going as far as further internal meetings to maintain department appearances internally. Remarkably, other offices, like the one in Budapest, appear less affected by these toxic dynamics. Recent relocation efforts have transformed the office into a more open and inviting space, fostering a noticeably happier atmosphere among employees. However, the stark disparity between offices underscores the unfortunate reality that one's experience within the company largely hinges on the team and location they are assigned to. Despite some positives within the company, such as its outwardly stated values and the improvements seen in certain offices, these are overshadowed by the pervasive negativity cultivated by those who seek to do less, blame more, and intimidate those who dare to challenge the status quo. It's become evident that success within the company is not solely determined by merit or contribution but often by the ability to navigate treacherous office politics and appease those in power, regardless of ethical conduct.

Pros

5 years ago it was ok

Cons

This company is a textbook example of how poor management and a toxic, deceptive culture can destroy an organization from within. Leadership lacks transparency, accountability, and basic competence. Audits are perpetually failed, financials are a mess, and profitability is nonexistent. Mass layoffs are disguised as “voluntary resignations” under pressure, targeting entire departments across HR, Finance, BI, Sales, and IT to cut costs. Employees are cornered and coerced into quitting without severance, and many are openly threatened not to leave honest reviews or risk not receiving their final pay. If you're considering working here, ask yourself if you’re okay with being used, silenced, and discarded. If not – run.

Pros

Supportive Colleagues: There are a few supportive individuals within various teams who help maintain sanity amidst the toxic environment. They might check in on you, but they’ll also admit that not much will be done to address the issues senior leads and behaviours. Industry Exposure: Working with top brands and developer partners is a plus, but building meaningful relationships with them is challenging. The company’s sole focus on revenue often leads to unethical practices, disregarding the necessary steps to achieve goals responsibly. Frequent Restructuring: While restructuring and reorganization are frequent, they rarely make sense. Management decision making is seemly driven by ego by ignoring warning evidence provided, often ignoring industry standards and best practices to follow their misguided strategies and doubling down on toxic plans. Core Values Misaligned: The company claims to prioritize its core values, but this is not reflected in practice, especially not at the senior management level. Revenue remains the primary focus, overshadowing any real commitment to values.

Cons

Toxic Culture: The toxic culture within the company is overwhelming, as reflected in the recent spate of negative reviews. Despite a few positive reviews trying to deflect criticism, the core issues persist, largely unaddressed. Writing this review is a last resort after previous reviews failed to provoke any meaningful action or discussion within the company. Senior management and the general manager have doubled down on their dismissive attitude, promoting individuals with numerous HR complaints instead of addressing the issues. Ineffective Management: Senior management and the general manager consistently ignore staff and HR escalations furthermore have failed to take any meaningful action in response to previous reviews. Instead of addressing concerns, they double down on their mistakes, promoting individuals with multiple HR complaints. This approach has led to a culture of fear and self-resignation among staff, who feel that leaving is their only option to avoid further bullying, mental health decline, or damage to their professional reputation. Lack of Support: Employees feel neglected and unheard. The continuous belittling in meetings and the vindictive atmosphere are detrimental to mental health and professional reputation. Unfair Compensation: Salaries are not competitive, and discussing pay is actively discouraged. New hires often earn more than long-standing employees, yet still below market standards. Bonus distribution is opaque and inconsistently communicated. The trend of negative reviews highlights recurring issues that remain unaddressed. Prospective employees should be cautious about joining this company.
