Dear former employee,
The journey to where we are today has not been easy and we are sorry that you feel this way. The first stage of the pandemic brought an extremely fast growth to our company. We went from a handful of employees to almost 50 employees over the course of a year. We did a poor job managing our employees, and developing strong processes in the company. In a way, we may have been “drowning in our own success”. To go through this difficult period, we had to restructure our operations and lay off our team in Denmark.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our former employees in Denmark for their dedication. It takes unlimited amounts of courage and determination to disrupt an industry. Without our employees, we would never have come this far. We have been through ups and downs. We are sorry for those employees who felt hurt by how things have been handled in the past. We have never intended to hurt anyone and we are very sorry if anyone has felt hurt.
Reflecting on this situation, we realized that we have been too distant from our team. Going forward, we will be closer to our employees. We appreciate the feedback shared – when feedback is well-intentioned, it is a true “gift”.
