Pros

While early Friday summer hours are only a perk, they don’t come close to offsetting the overwhelming toxicity of this workplace.

Cons

As I read the earlier post I can confirm that many of these major issues are still going on with no changes. The Plant Manager consistently crosses professional boundaries, engaging in inappropriate relationships with younger employees and hosting gatherings where alcohol is abundant, further blurring these boundaries. This has led to incidents of sexual misconduct, which recently resulted in his suspension. Such behavior has fostered a highly uncomfortable, unprofessional environment where decisions seem more influenced by personal connections than by performance or merit. Probationary employees are regularly dismissed just before they transition to full-time status, often without valid reasons. Decisions appear controlled by a small, favored group close to the manager, fueling a culture of blatant favoritism over fairness and ability. If you're not part of this inner circle, your job feels perpetually at risk. The lack of diversity here is striking. Hiring practices seem to actively exclude people from diverse backgrounds, resulting in a largely homogenous workforce that feels insular and exclusive, with little room for new perspectives or innovation. Misconduct complaints are poorly handled, perpetuating a “keep your head down and act like you didn’t see anything” culture. The recent suspension of the Plant Manager for a severe case of sexual misconduct only adds to the frustration, especially since only the more junior employee involved faced serious repercussions. This selective accountability is deeply disheartening and unfair.
