I have been working at Gap part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The managers really care about you and make your hard work feel appreciated; the first time I met the district manager after working there for a few months, she already knew all about me. While they do place stock in loyalty numbers, they find ways to reward hard work in other areas. When not dealing with customers (most are fine) the work is really peaceful and meditative.

    Cons

On the surface associates who focus their abilities more back-of-house don't get a lot of glory, and you kinda feel like cleaning up the displays or reorganizing is an exercise in futility.
