Pros
37.5 hour workweek (7.5 hour days) A few truly talented people
Cons
I’m actually embarrassed for this place. Working here feels like working in a company stuck in the 90s. There are people who have been there for over 20 years. After working there a while, I realized it was because they could do the same thing that they’ve done for many years with zero growth or zero adaptation to growth and development. They pretend to care about you, but it’s really through the end of what you can do for them. The CEO has an office that is glass and above the cubicle area, which gives the perception that you’re constantly being watched and monitored, which you are. The owner son essentially runs the business, but he has literally never worked anywhere else but acts like he is everything. There is a lack of transparency to employees that comes across as very shady. For example, they don’t do regular performance reviews and they are very closed off about the health of the company. They don’t even have all hands meetings to talk about the vision for the year or anything that could help to rally the team to feel like we are all in this together. The women in leadership are very protective of their place and intimidate anyone who tries to improve ways of working or quality.
