This business is digging itself a hole in the ground. The owner treats their employees like garbage and doesn’t understand boundaries at all. I was pregnant and was so scared to tell the owner because of how other employees were telling her how to approach the situation by waiting for the her to be in “a good mood”. Even when that mood did arrive, the owner still ended up screaming at me for not telling her in the interview, calling me a liar. She ended up firing me after my maternity leave was over by sending all the items in my desk to my old address, and not contacting me at all about the severance of employment. This is an extremely poisonous work environment, mostly because it is a small business and the HR is the owner. So if a person did have a problem with how one was treated, they wouldn’t be able to talk to anyone besides the owner or the manager. The manager also handles everything from complaint calls (which there are a lot of, their BBB rating is extremely low) to accounting. The owner is too cheap to hire more employees because she doesn’t want to pay more employees to help the current employees get the job done even if the current employees are insanely overworked. The owner also does not care about the quality of her employees and would much rather scream at them and put more workload on employees that are already doing too much, than talk to them or offer better solutions. It is surprising that they are even still in business. If you are thinking about joining this team, don’t. You are worth far more than the mental toll they will give you.
