Pros

Nothing. There is nothing good for me to post .. I don't want to mislead others that's not fair.

Cons

Please be prepared to be flown into the country and then driven from Bahrain to Riyadh in a car. Please be prepared to receive an abusive phonecall from the Hr representative if you even complain. Please be prepared to deal with a rude transportation and logistics person who has no remorse for women whatsover. Please be prepared to not know when you are getting paid (sometimes even feeling as if you won't be). Please be prepared to live in an accommodation with male and females bare in mind that ICEAT promised a females only accommodation. Please be prepared to live with anxiety around you within the accommodation. Please be prepared to not be provided transportation to and from work (despite it being in your contract that you've signed when coming from the UK) and when they do provide it to the other females working at other sites the bus a mini van cramped again fraud fraud fraudlestic company be prepared. Please be prepared to receive verbal abuse from the ICEAT head office located in Riyadh male section. Please prepared to queu at a certain time frame to collect your money as if we were transfered back to the 1800's. Please be prepared not to receive your end of year service despite it being in your contract that you will receive it (and when you complain they say that we should be lucky to know that we are even getting money from ICEAT). Please be prepared to receive cash in hand. Please be prepared to know that ICEAT can loose contract at any-time from the universities that they work with (and they have this year). Please be prepared to not receive an Iqamah (please oh please don't listen to the usual "we are prosessing it for you" best believe you will be on a business visa throughout your employment status. The whole company is run by Asians who are moving absolutely illegal... if you want to proceed with that go ahead! and are willing to put your yourself at risk go ahead! If not please oh please don't let the salary fool you it's like your working a labour job at pain for that money ... why? ... you might aswell stay at home and earn the same amount of money and get taxed. Please be careful coming from a genuine heart. From London!

It's A Trap!!!

Pros

I can't think of any.

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked for in KSA. The pay is garbage. As a teacher, you will receive absolutely no office hours - but that doesn't stop the school from piling on more and more work that you will have to do in class I suppose - since there is no other time to do it. Currently they are pressuring all of us to switch to an iqama (an excuse to take our passports away) since they can't keep teachers with this low amount of pay. They even put a sign up at the hotel saying that if we leave, we have to pay the hotel bill - THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO PAY THAT BILL, IT IS IN THE CONTRACT!!! So basically we are all being held prisoner here with these thinly veiled threats. (No passport, no pay. If you try to leave, you must pay etc...)

An "Academic" Sweatshop

Pros

There are no valid, rational reasons for taking a position here.

Cons

The conditions here essentially make it a sweatshop. The contact hours are overwhelming, management finds it appropriate to threaten and harass staff, staff is herded onto a cramped bus from Bahrain to KSA and then for an hour long trip to work everyday and staff is routinely fired without cause.
