The company is always looking to grow and expand (for good reasons), so you have to be ready for things to sometimes change quickly. This is not a boring, stagnant place to work!

Cons
None really. Some systems could be improved but what company couldn't improve their systems.
Pros
nothing at all toxic place
Cons
Icon do great work but the accounts receivable department is so toxic I nearly self harmed Trent the team leader tells racist jokes that involves Africans and aids he has a nick name for MR which is dory because she is forgetful that’s bullying double standard within the team Julie thought it was appropriate to tell our manager that MW should be fired because she can’t do the job and she isn’t an asset to the company in from of staff I have written statements to back this up toxic department within a good company
Pros
Nature of work was very enjoyable and rewarding, as a Medical Secretary you play a pivotal role in the patient’s care journey and it’s a pleasure to do so.
Cons
Management is poor and decisions are made with no consideration of how it will impact upon the admin team and their ability to perform duties. Ego seems to drive a lot of change, which is unfortunate, as the change often makes an innately stressful job, infinitely more so. People want to make a name for themselves and their team, more than actually running a system efficiently and with consideration of patient experience. Work culture is also a huge problem. No one trusts each other, gossip and back stabbing are par for the course each and every day. Every one talks behind each other’s backs, ranging from petty insults to heinous character deformation and straight up lying for the sake of putting others down. Conversations in back rooms or behind closed doors, go beyond banter and cross the line into a territory which is incompatible with decency. Intimidation and two facedness are also an issue with management. No one will stand up for you and you can confide in no one, managers will ask for feedback on changes and when you challenge them they’ll say “No that’s not true, you’re not getting that point”. Next level gaslighting. If you’re in the “in group” of course, you can do no harm and expectations of you are met with leniency, if you’re not buddy buddy with the “top dog”, you will be put under a microscope and news will spread far and wide of every move you make. As someone who grew close to my colleagues, not just in my own role but indeed across the clinics disciplines, I can truly affirm these views are shared amongst the majority of staff, however no one will ever raise them, for fear of being shut down or kicked out of the “A-team”. Cliques, ego and arrogance let this place down, for staff and patients alike.
Pros
Great location, and great team members.
Cons
Outdated systems, with excessive manual workarounds to obtain required outcomes. The company has lost its values since private equity ownership.
Pros
social gatherings occasionally and have coffee machine for staff
Cons
Poor management and decision-making with little consideration for the admin team. The work culture is unhealthy, marked by ego-driven leadership, lack of trust, favoritism, gossip, intimidation, and feedback that is not genuinely heard. Adjust employee salary to what they should be based on work experience or the standards of the international company itself because the current ones are not comparable to what the public sector should be, so many Icon employees have submitted their resignations after seeing no clarity from their company.
