Glad I got out...
Pros
Lots of shifts available, salary sacrifice, have their own vehicles, training opportunities.
Cons
Made to feel annoying for bringing up issues with management. My TL leader did not want to deal with anything, lots of sweeping under the rug. I felt like I couldnt ask a question or point out a problem without being scolded. Support workers are always treated as if they are dodgy even though some really care and work hard. In saying that, I worked with some truly toxic and horrible people, including a house team where most of the staff would refuse to work together. Also, had to work with lots of agency staff and so you end up doing all the work while somebody else sits around getting paid a higher rate than you. It was so draining, I couldn't stay there any longer. I also felt I had to do lots of duties that were of a higher position and pay grade without any appreciation or compensation.
