Pros

Everybody talks friendly, chill vibe is everywhere

Cons

I would like to share my experience with this company, which I do not recommend working for due to several concerning issues: - During the interview, they provided inaccurate information about the working conditions. Later, they explained that HR was new and lacked the necessary information, resulting in improvised responses. - After receiving a job offer, they made me work without a contract, promising that it would be provided later. However, it became evident that they did not have a legal entity in Portugal and couldn't hire me. - Despite promising to compensate for the time I worked, they never followed through. Instead, they blocked all access and ignored my attempts to address the issue. - It was not uncommon for them to schedule work calls on my calendar without consulting me about my availability. Additionally, the CHRO often failed to attend these meetings due to lateness or changing plans. - During the interview, I was shocked to hear the CHRO express the company's strategy of firing Scandinavian workers, labeling them as lazy and costly, and aiming to hire in cheaper markets like Portugal, India, Bulgaria, etc. This statement was made directly, without hesitation. I am perplexed by the company's weak attitude and its inability to turn a profit after 20 years in the market. During labor market crises, their behavior is particularly troubling as they exploit people. In conclusion, based on my experience, I strongly advise against working with this company.

Thank you for your feedback, we've looked into the points you have raised here and recognise that your experience wasn't what you hoped. To address your concerns, we are a global company who hire and continues to hire people in many different locations, including Oslo, which remains our head office. We cannot speak to what was said to you in private as there is no record of this, but we can assure you it is not our policy to hire outside of Norway due to 'laziness and cost'. We highly value our Oslo team and we have open opportunities there. Having looked at your specific case, we have identified a policy issue which we have now addressed and we will continuously review our policies as we grow as an organisation. We wish you all the best with your job search, please contact us directly if there is anything further to discuss.

Pros

I worked at this company for a good couple of years. Not the best company in the world, but it WAS a respectable Norwegian company with great colleagues, nice products and vision.

Cons

The fast decline started a couple of years ago when British investors took over. Today it is a Norwegian company only on paper. The culture and spirit has been completely wiped out. Today it is only money and profit oriented. The friendly, direct atmosphere transformed into an informal, rigid, cold nothing where employees are referred to as head counts or assets. Meritocracy has been abolished. Many of the best and experienced European engineers have been ruthlessly fired (or made to resign by giving them tasks they don't like) and replaced by high number of employees from India. The selection process of the Indian workforce is questionable at least. Quality seems not be important anymore. People come and go now, like on a market, employees always change, there is no stability. The relation chains have been broken. As a result productivity and shipping has dropped massively. There were several rounds of reorganization (firing European engineers), every time it was promised this is the last one. Until there remained very few (probably none by now). Everything the managements says is questionable. You can't trust anything they say anymore. I am happy to have parted ways with them. Probably the best career decision, although a few years ago (pre British acquisition) I easily imagined that I would retire from Inspera.
