Pros

Making a positive difference in the lives of families.

Cons

Owner seems to be more concerned with which corporation will cut a check to the organization. There seems to be no true compassion for the client's needs. It's unfortunate because the company is like a revolving door. How you treat your staff reflects in your overall employee retention. The company will pile work on employees with unrealistic expectations and low pay. I am glad I left when I did!

Pros

You have the opportunity to help individuals and families in need of substance misuse and mental health services. Networking with different organizations in the community. Pay is ok but not the best. There is opportunity for advancement in house first.

Cons

Financial issues and constant turn over due to management! This company is constantly and I mean always changing policies and procedure. Out the gate you’re not trained properly at all. And even when you are given documents or instructions to perform your duties up to standard before you can get a hang of it they are changing it again. They have a director who has never worked as a case manager/(CSC)community services coordinator over the (CSC)case management department. The director gives miss information to her staff and doesn’t train properly or support and stick up for her team. She will throw you up under the bus and let you take the fall for it she will not admit that she made the mistake. So whenever bill hours are not meet for the month or performance is not up to standard you won’t know until you are ambushed with a meeting and written up. The CEO & COO think that because they were case manager back in the 1900’s that case management is the same now a days and do not listen to staff who are in the field daily; they have unrealistic expectations and don’t understand that things are very different in 2023. They want you to do 60 hours of work in 40 hour; absolutely no over time unless approved and with so much being last minute (meeting, client appts, supervision, and changes) no one ever know when they may need OT. SMH AVOID THE HEADACHE AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!!
