      Empty Promises

      The location of the office is across from Rosebank

      Cons

      I took over the responsibilities of the head of Design by the Senior Management for over 6 months but no job title change and change in pay. My senior had little to no understanding of UI/Ux and showed a lack of EQ when interacting with the design team. I saw many talented people being undervalued and treated as less then. Performance reviews would be about cutting down designers as we were asked multiple times what’s the purpose for ui/ux in the web development process.

We have invested a lot of time, love and effort in order to make our Integroovies feel comfortable, appreciated and engaged while at the office and working remotely. With our recent additions to the HR team, we’ve been able to cover more ground in terms of the employee experience, which include the updating of Job profiles, Integrove career paths and Collaboration and engagement events. One of our top priorities has always been to promote team relationship building, not only within the capabilities, but across capabilities and teams. Over the last year, we’ve introduced competitions, quiz nights, dress-up days, tech talks, project sharing during company meetings and more. Our aim is to inform employees about projects, and cultivate a new understanding of different capabilities and skills within the company.       Pros

      I would say salary like most employees but in reality the salary isn't great. Most employees are pleased by their net worth and do not realize that they have no company benefits, no medical aid, pension fund, risk cover. The only deduction is tax which is basically the same as being a contractor.

      Cons

      Worst leadership ever experienced in my career. Very toxic delivery leadership team that is ego fuelled. No respect for talent. No consideration for employee wellbeing and mental health. Excessively long working hours due to mediocre systems and their instability. Us and them mentality by leadership that creates silos and decides their Dev teams. I could go on and on about this company, save yourself the pain and trauma and go elsewhere. Based on employee exodus the writing is already on the wall.

      Terribly Toxic Workplace

      Nice office next to Rosebank Mall

      Cons

      Bad organisation and management, complete lack of empathy and emotional intelligence from leadership. Extremely unhealthy work to life balance expectations from the company. Employees are treated like numbers and exploited and not valued, no performance reviews so growing career is not clear for employees, no support when going through loss of a loved one or having a baby. Expected to work during lunch and on weekends without appreciation for doing so. Absolutely zero communication from upper management downwards. Lack of empathy for mental health and disabilities. Hiring is based on nepotism and not skillsets, when they have good talented people they burn them out and undervalue them until they leave. Lack of respect for boundaries of employees. Little to no understanding of the jobs they are offering, the leadership of teams are not qualified and put minimal effort in team relationship building.
