Slow decision-making has left the company struggling to compete in the market. What was a novel idea at the company's inception has become a stale concept that most applicant tracking platforms and job board sites do better.

- Pay was terrible compared to other similar jobs in the area - No benefits - No time off initially - No equity - The boss sometimes just stubbornly overrides viewpoints conflicting his viewpoint - Lack of a focus on real data to support decisions - Outdated technology - No real clear insight into the market - Pay raise was negligible - Software developers treated as low skill laborers - Not a whole lot of opportunities for developers in the area if you decide to move on - Pay and benefits overshadow to good office culture - Too much focus on the huge success that is obviously right around the corner - Prototype code is sent straight to production and kept indefinitely - Sunk cost fallacy!
