Average pay, poor benefits, no advancement nomatter how qualified. Salaried positions are always recruited, no hourly laborer is ever considered.
Can waste years here being sold on potential. Can develop any skill asked, only to be blacked out on project progress. Pride and “yes men” run manufacturing substrates. Salaried managers leave by noon on Fridays. Salaried leadership can say I quit, walk out, and show up again two weeks later. Nepotism is a hiring strategy for substrates. Any hourly operator receives little support, and schedule demands are not fairly considered. Once you (as an hourly) learn more, or develop more than a salaried manager, you’re a target.
Also, HR only ever spoke at me, never listened.
If working for people focused on job justification is you’re thing, this is the place for you
