Pros

You'll fly some well kept Lear 55's as well as very well kept Lear 60's. ATI is also getting more 60's and phasing out their 55's, so progression is great. There are four or five awesome captains to fly with as well as two or three great first officers. You'll spend up to six days in one place and if you can afford a rental car, you have sometimes 2 hours of travel in order to meet your callout period. The owner and chief pilot are two of the best people I've ever worked for and have had my back wherever I've needed them. Sometimes you may get 16 days off per month during the slow season. Company has always provided meals on holidays and has had a very respectful work structure. A great place to learn crew resources management and to retire at, if that's your goal. Although I'm leaving, I am sure I'll never have another employer as great as Lyle.

Cons

I would not come here for time building or to captain quickly unless you have the ARGUS/WAVRN minimums. Dispatch can be very troubling to deal with in any circumstance, especially days off. Sometimes you only get 6 of your 12 days off. This is not a company paid commutable position and the current schedule of 18 on, 12 off is horrific on social life. Most of the young guys are here to get their time and leave, which is fine. But management takes that very personally which adds to the desire to cut ties while you can. Lastly when someone leaves, they are known to be treated somewhat poorly in regards to their schedule which should stop. There are a couple captains who need to be re-trained or sent through Flight Safety again.

Pros

you get to go some amazing places. It is generally slow enough that you get to spend some time to see around some of those places as well. Pay is fair The owner is a great guy to work for who also flies for the company. Schedule is 18 on and 12 off, they are very strict about making sure you get your 12 consecutive days each month

Cons

Typical 135 problems. Dispatchers can be shady Lots of time is spent in Hotels. Not a good time building gig
