You are seen as disposable and every day you have to step on eggshells as KWD fire people all the time randomly at their own accord. They don't hire you unless you are attractive. They do not protect you if something happens, they will just fire you. They do not listen to you or your needs. You fill out your availability but it is disregarded and often you are forced to work. They force you to work in places that you have told them make you anxious- even if you have a panic attack in one shop because of how bad it is, they will force you to go back. The CEO is truly horrendous, she speaks to you like a piece of dirt and makes you fear even her name. It is all about power and control. It seems the office staff are cloned to behave like her and if they don't they are too treated like dirt or removed from the "team". Pay is not the same, some people get more and you are not allowed to talk about it. If you do they fire you. I worked with KWD during sixth form and then full-time for two years and I only did this because it was local and I learnt to tolerate being treated so badly because I knew it wouldn't be forever. They constantly lie to you about "opportunities" to hoax you into joining their agency/staying with them, but realistically clients are diminishing and there is not enough work for even part-timers. Don't believe them, if it is too good to be true it always is. Communication is non-existent. Emails are ignored 9/10 times. Can't count the amount of times I cried or had to go home in a complete anxious and panicked state because of what was said to me and the way I was treated. I would never return to KWD and I DO NOT recommend them to anyone. They are an absolutely hideous company. KWD are a very unhealthy company to work for.

Flexibility - just like any other agency

They will not employee you if you are not good looking enough, have to have a certain image to fit the agency. The bookings team and management is unorganised and extremely rude. They have no respect for you. You will rarely get shifts, if you email them about shifts they will ignore your all your emails so you may as well not bother applying in the first place. They will expect you to work 7 days a week even if you have told them you are unavailable. If you have an ill day, they basically will fire you but won't actually tell you so you'll be waiting forever for another shift. I worked in Harvey Nichols and saw that they had been taken off the rota on which agencies can be used and which not to use. KWD were on the "do not use" list. You don't get any discount, management do not listen to your opinions or anything you have to say. Pay is never normally right sometimes you may not get paid until a few days after your pay day.
