The place is a joke

Pros

1. Not too much pressure: Probably because even the leadership doesn't know what to do 2. Few people in the company are good but they don't really have a say in anything

Cons

The list won't end 1. Super egoistic CEO who has no experience and acts like the king and all his employees are slaves. 2. God knows what the company is upto. Can't take simple decisions. 3. Too much talking. Hardly any execution. 4. No humanisation. Try making a simple request. No one will even bother discussing it. 5. People are fired like it's a child's play. 6. Zero learning here.

Thank you for your input here. We understand your feelings even though the review is not objective. We understand that the transition from work from home to a hybrid environment didn't meet your preference. But we would take this moment to share why it was done: - To help the team integrate better - To have more meaningful work relationships - To get more done in less time All this is essential for an early-stage startup like Bookee to have a great outcome for everyone who works here. This is the reason every employee irrespective of the level is granted ESOPs in Bookee. We understand that one team had strong objections to not following the hybrid policy shared 3 months ahead. But making exceptions for one team or specific individuals is unfair to other teams. It also defeated the purpose of integrating all team members and boosting camaraderie. Bookee overwhelmingly met this objective therefore we stand by the decision. Besides this, it's critical to highlight that Bookee operated with a high level of trust in its employees, but that doesn't mean a specific team or few people did not engage in multiple employments, moon-lighting, damaging company assets, miscommunicating with clients, and more.

Pros

If you're willing to work like a slave and get treated like one on a daily basis for a basic salary then sure, go ahead and apply, but even then you may get asked to resign for no reason at all.

Cons

Leadership has no idea what they are doing. CEO thinks he can run the company alone treats employees like trash, has no idea how a company should be run and randomly asks employees to resign. All the best employees have been fired for speaking up.

Thank you for your review. We love constructive criticism and appreciate critical feedback at all levels. Which is why "not conforming" is a core Bookee value. We lean highly into employee wellness, which is the reason we opted for 1-week complete work from home. We love meaningful work and life relationships, therefore treating the team like "trash" or "slave" is not a value or language Bookee would stand by. Nonetheless, we are happy to discuss this in more detail if you reach out to us.

Pros

If you're eager for a front-row seat in the world of startup building, Bookee is the perfect launchpad. Here, you'll find a dynamic, driven community where every team is cross-functional. Whether your passion lies in design, product development, back-end, front-end, sales, or support, you'll have the opportunity to dive into every aspect of building and running a startup. Bookee is your startup academy, empowering you to learn and grow in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Cons

Bookee, like many early-stage startups, operates at a lightning-fast pace. This means you'll constantly need to learn and adapt to keep up with the momentum. If you thrive in a dynamic, ever-evolving atmosphere, you'll feel right at home. However, if you're seeking a slower-paced work environment, Bookee may not align with your preferences.
