My time at KryptoKloud (KK) was a brief but genuinely awakening experience, sadly not for the right reasons. On my first week at KK, I joined a weekly client call with another analyst; the CEO joined the call and proceeded to take over the call, the CEO began berating the other analyst on the call for failing OSCP, discussing how this employee had cost them so much money and still couldn’t pass it. This call was with one of the largest clients and made all parties feel incredibly uncomfortable. This interaction set the tone for my time there. Once off the call, I felt so uncomfortable with what had happened and attempted to reassure them that it was okay that they failed what is a challenging exam, they then told me that they took no note of it because it was normal for the CEO to berate staff, even in front of clients. This experience traumatised me, knowing that the CEO has built this cult-like environment where it is normalised to treat staff in this way and not even care about them. I have heard directly from people who have since posted positive reviews that they were instructed to write them to drown out the negative reviews, this is due to CEO only caring about their image and ego, they are not able to take on the criticism and try to rebuild the company to make it a safe environment, instead the CEO is focused on continuing to damage the lives of ex-employees who are trying to express what their time at KK was like because the emotional damage the CEO caused was not enough. The CEO expects total and unfettered loyalty but will never even show you an ounce of respect and then questions how staff can be so disloyal as to leave the company when he refuses to show staff any form of appreciation or pay them fairly. Senior staff facilitate and are complicit in the CEO’s behaviour, they acknowledge that it is wrong, but that’s what the CEO wants and “that’s what you do in the military and so that’s what you will do here”. At the end of the day, KK is nothing but a delusion of this fantastic company which only exists inside the head of the CEO and a series of meaningless screens on a wall. So please don’t believe what so many others have, that this is an actual SOC, it will not be long before you realise, and then you’re trapped.
