Pros

Work-life balance when I joined was ok, prior to the whole re-structure. Some of the managers were nice and decent people. Good office location.

Cons

There's rapid staff turnover and then there's LMRE. During my time here only a handful of consultants from when I joined still remain ('select' few that are 'in' with management). Whole teams walked out, causing mass restructure (including even the top biller, so if that doesn't give you a flavour of the lack of meritocracy here I don't know what will). It's true a handful of promotions occur due to hard work here, but some also occur here through blackmail and playing the corporate game, so be aware... LMRE channels all their efforts into replacing consultants and finding new staff rather than developing their current consultants. Once you've been there for a couple of weeks you're likely no longer the 'newest' consultant there. Most of the consultants that make it are those that came in through knowing the co-founders or somebody in their circle. Good luck to you if you are an independent applicant who does not already have an 'in' with them or are not from the same circle. An example of which could be hiring a consultant through such a link, that the management knew (through their link) to have had office affairs previously (and hence what most would consider highly inappropriate office conduct). This consultant went on to assault several younger and more junior consultants in the office, which was understandably kept very hushed down in the aftermath. Without shifting the assaulter's blame onto the co-founders or anybody else, food for thought - could this have been prevented if professionalism was truly valued over nepotism? LMRE's business side of things has also collapsed so don't expect to be busy with delivery, expect to be busy with BD and cold-calling to bring on new clients and beg for jobs. Expect one of the co-founders to be frantically messaging everybody on Teams at all hours of the night, every day of the week. Don't expect to be able to switch off and pick things up again the next morning, expect very disorganised and scatty message bombardment at midnight when you're trying to sleep, on a regular occurence! Not LMRE specific but good to know that they have a commission threshold here too to even earn anything for your own pocket (and then a % structure past that threshold anyway). Don't expect to earn big bucks past that threshold unless you're lucky enough to be working with high salaried roles!
