A good place to do research. Beautiful campus. Smart and interesting people all around. Opportunities for work are well broadcasted and allow lots of lateral movement and finding work in adjascent or even different fields.
Cons
Depends a lot on your specific team and role, so it's a bit of a lottery unfortunately.

The IT department is full of great people to work with; they are professional and want to do their best.
Cons
The university sees IT as part of the solution to their current challenges but doesnt seem to be able to get through their own processes to improve things, nor to ensure the right partnerships between other departments and IT to get things done.
