Pros

Some nice people and many French nationals.

Cons

Horrible management and culture, with employees treated terribly. Executives push people to work a lot, and they will doubt your performance if you don’t work long hours every single day. People often work on weekends just to cope with the pile of work they get assigned. The co-founders and managers micromanage to extreme degrees, so your day is usually horrible. Everything you do is questioned and adjusted, and there is no freedom to do your job. Some people left after complaining about stress, long hours, and micromanagement, at which point we were requested to write good reviews on Glassdoor. Don’t believe these fake reviews, and don’t become a Landyslave!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you didn’t have a positive experience at Landytech. We appreciate all feedback to help us improve. However, we do not believe the views you have expressed are shared by all our employees. After anonymously surveying our employees, we received a strong ENPS employee satisfaction score, and are confident we are building a positive environment at Landytech as we scale. As a start-up with ambitious growth plans, we have high expectations. We reward our team with competitive salaries and offer flexibility with hybrid working to suit the differing needs of our employees, and are continuously reviewing our benefits as we grow. We strongly believe in creating a welcoming environment to enable our employees to take ownership and develop, and we believe we are succeeding in doing this. We are always looking to continuously improve and we are confident that we are building a positive, open and honest culture at Landytech.

Great product, bad culture

Pros

1. Landytech's product - Sesame is a masterstroke. It's a game changer for investment reporting. 2. The tech team seems to be doing well and has a good culture.

Cons

1. The client team has a really bad work culture. Consequently it has extremely high attrition (at least 3-4 members of of a team comprised of about 10 people leave in less than a year). 2. Client expectations are managed poorly and the team is expected to push beyond any reasonable measure every reporting cycle. This is when a regular work day itself is at least 10 hours on most days. 3. Waking up to 1-2AM messages or messages over the weekend is quite normal. 4. Every sick leave is scrutinized as if no-one has the right to fall sick. 5. Public shaming is the norm (on group chats, people are directly threatened regarding probation, late deliveries etc. without any space to explain themselves) 6. Communication is poor. Sometimes one might be told to do X but then yelled on (publicly) for not doing Y. They shift the goal post too frequently, often without clear intimation.

Pros

Many employees are highly skilled and collaborative

Cons

• The workplace atmosphere is toxic, filled with fear and negativity that kills motivation and job satisfaction. • Senior leadership, including the CEO, lacks clear direction, making decisions feel arbitrary and confusing. • Managers can’t lead independently due to the CEO’s micromanagement, stifling creativity and initiative. • Women’s ideas are undervalued, while male colleagues receive praise for the same suggestions, fostering inequality. • A constant fear of job loss creates stress and insecurity. • High staff turnover disrupts projects and burdens remaining employees. • Employee satisfaction is alarmingly low, reflected in poor ENPS scores, especially in the product team. • The CEO gives only negative feedback, leaving employees feeling demotivated and unappreciated. • Job roles and responsibilities are unclear and change frequently, causing frustration and instability. • The environment is not psychologically safe, with little support, respect, or understanding for employees.
