Pros

friendly nature between the employees

Cons

I recently had an unfortunate experience working with MRK. My time there was characterised by several glaring issues that made it an unpleasant environment to be a part of. Firstly, there was an evident lack of respect throughout the company. Employees were not treated with the dignity and professionalism they deserved, leading to a demoralizing atmosphere. Furthermore, there was a distinct absence of appreciation for hard work and dedication. Despite putting in significant effort, employees rarely received acknowledgment or recognition for their contributions, leading to a lack of motivation and morale. The company also demonstrated a complete disregard for the value of work. Tasks were often assigned without clear objectives or purpose, leaving employees feeling directionless and unfulfilled in their roles. Micro-management was rampant within the organization, stifling creativity and autonomy among employees. Constant scrutiny and control over every aspect of the work process hindered productivity and innovation. Additionally, the lack of proper management only exacerbated existing issues. There was a notable absence of effective leadership and communication, resulting in confusion and chaos within the company. The absence of a cohesive office culture further exacerbated the negative work environment. There was a distinct lack of camaraderie and teamwork, making it difficult to foster a sense of belonging and community among employees. In conclusion, my experience at MRK was marred by a multitude of issues, including a lack of respect, delayed salaries, absence of appreciation, devaluation of work, micro-management, poor management practices, and an inadequate office culture. These factors combined to create an unsustainable and toxic work environment that I would not recommend to anyone seeking employment.

Pros

Only pros is having friendly nature between employees

Cons

Poor Overall Experience: To put it simply, my experience at this company has been nothing short of terrible. The challenges and frustrations I've encountered have overshadowed any potential benefits of being here. Unrelated Multitasking: I've found myself engaged in tasks that have no relevance to my professional expertise, wasting precious time and resources that could have been better utilized elsewhere. Ineffective Management: The management here is not just ineffective; it's downright harmful. Decisions are often made without proper understanding, and the lack of a capable technical lead only exacerbates the problem. Lack of Technical Leadership: The absence of a knowledgeable technical lead has left the tech team without proper guidance, resulting in unrealistic expectations and undue pressure from individuals who lack the necessary technical understanding. Missing Documentation: Projects often begin without clear product documentation, leading to confusion, inefficiencies, and unnecessary rework. Excessive Working Hours: The company's approach to calculating work hours, including breaks, is excessively demanding and indicative of a lack of concern for employees' well-being. Authoritarian CEO: The CEO's leadership style is akin to that of a strict school principal, stifling creativity and fostering an environment of constant surveillance. Unrealistic Timelines: The arbitrary setting of project deadlines without proper insight into the technical complexities involved only adds to the already high levels of stress and dissatisfaction. Poor Work-Life Balance: Striking a balance between work and personal life is nearly impossible in this environment, with little regard for employees' need to recharge and spend time with their families. Undesirable Workplace: Given the multitude of challenges and negative aspects, it's safe to say that no one should aspire to work in such an unfavorable company. Micromanagement: The excessive monitoring of employees' activities, even to the point of questioning movement, fosters an atmosphere of mistrust and discomfort. Constant Product Changes: Frequent shifts in product functionality and simultaneous involvement in multiple projects undermine focus and hinder productivity. Unfavorable Rest Hours: The scheduling of rest hours is far from employee-friendly, further contributing to the overall dissatisfaction. Lack of Communication Structure: The absence of a proper communication framework, with management often resorting to ad hoc phone calls or discussions, adds to the chaos and confusion. Uncompensated Weekends: Employees are expected to work weekends without any consideration for compensation or recognition of their extra efforts. Double Standards: The discrepancy in how lateness is handled between morning and evening hours highlights the management's inconsistency and lack of empathy. Disregard for Employee Well-being: Management's lack of concern for employees' needs and feelings only reinforces a perception of being expendable. Absence of Vision: The lack of a clear company vision contributes to the overall confusion and disarray, leaving employees directionless.
