Pros

People’s perception of mark Cuban

Cons

Mark simply doesn’t care about his employees and if you work for him you know exactly what I’m talking about. He will deliberately underpay you and build a “Follow Mark” culture. If you’re smart use the position to go somewhere else to actually build a career. Very disappointed and he only cares about headlines and staying relevant. I’m sure more stories will come out about how bad he treats people.

Pros

Everyone you know will think it's the coolest job you could ever have. You will get lots of questions, and constantly be the the center of attention for better or worse. Learn a lot. Tons of hands on work.

Cons

The discrepancy between what people see you as and how you are treated at work is a trap. Without the "fame", the team would disappear in days. The pressure of external people around you make it difficult to leave, but the subpar treatment is depressing, belittling, and exhausting at best. Constantly manage situations where people are upset with Mark's treatment, while quietly questioning your own. If you have a problem with it, you can explain it to Mark over a text message or email. You would be hard pressed to find an associate who hasn't had a major health issue from the amount of stress with working here. Blood clots, ulcers, eating disorders, and tumors are all common place here. Staff is pegged against each other leaving an environment of competition over collaboration. If you suck it up, it opens lots of doors, but hardly worth the sacrifices made.
