Pros

Nice sunglasses, one of the best optical labs in the world and great customer service. Dating co-workers or employees is encouraged.

Cons

Micro-management has lost focus. Sales are declining. Losing largest accounts. Increasing focus on CostCo, Vision Works and Academy Sports. All white HR department. Drastic cuts to sales force commission.

Pros

Coworkers are friendly and helpful.

Cons

Management lies straight to your face. They’ll tell you one thing to avoid conflict and then go back on it not even a day later & tell you they never said what they said. They’ll offer bonuses and differentials, change your shift constantly to accommodate, then deny they ever offered those perks to begin with. They pretend to listen and care, but will change nothing and have changed nothing when all of their employees are begging for change and are looking elsewhere for employement.

Pros

Employee discount on the sunglasses.

Cons

The company was previously private and then was purchased in the past year by a much larger European company who owns fashion houses like Gucci. They negatively impacted the culture and morale and started abusing employee overtime by hardly even giving 24 hours notice. Most of the time it was less notice than 24 hours and it was extended indefinitely. Almost every single Human Respurces employee aside from the directors quit in the spring and summer of 2024. That really signaled to the employees that things were headed down a bad path. Upper management does not care about how Kering is handling things. They’re just letting it all happen. So many tenured employees have quit in the past 12 months.
