Pros

Great culture and coworkers, decent amount of PTO. This is where you want to work if you have the right attitude and work ethic.

Cons

Medical insurance is less than desirable, I’d say that’s the only downside.

Pros

200 hours of PTO insurance is affordable for yourself Depending on what facility you’re at, not too stressful.

Cons

You have to pay a fee if you put your spouse on Ascension insurance if they have insurance at where they work making the insurance not affordable Ascension doesn’t pay their bills on time, creating issues with systems monitoring and getting parts/materials for jobs making getting stuff from placers other than Grainger If your position has a II in the title, expect to do the responsibilities of a I such as dealing with and/or getting quotes for jobs, finding material, arranging things with contractors only for the leads/managers to jump in on emails taking credit Facility I worked at, one of the leads could create as much chaos as they wanted, not show up and try to sabotage others and face zero repercussions. In fact, if he did something to make you mad, you had to apologize to HIM for you getting mad at him. Getting gaslighted when you point out management’s mistakes. Underpaid for industry’s standards

Pros

Over 20 days of pto, great leadership

Cons

Pay is minimal, the company doesn't want to pay more than a certain percentage when promoting, even when the position is starting more at other companies Benefits will increase each year and will eat the 3% raise.

Started with great promise but lost its way

Pros

Generous PTO and flexibility. Beautiful, comfortable office environment. Role started with tremendous promise and purpose. Peers and Colleagues are hard workers and prop one another up on the hard days There are pockets of the organization where positive, inclusive, and thoughtful leadership shines.

Cons

The organization’s transformation has created extreme vagueness about the future and people’s roles. Leadership quality has deteriorated; the culture often feels like “every person for themselves.” Some leaders seem unaware of the shadow they cast — how their words, tone, and treatment of others ripple through the organization. Toxic behaviors are tolerated, and the value of treating people with respect and empathy is largely ignored. Employees are doing meaningful work but are made to feel small and insignificant. The organization can be tone-deaf to the struggles of its people. If you haven’t been with the company for many years, it can feel isolating and unsupportive. Bad behaviors have often been ignored, which has negatively impacted the experience of new associates trying to find their footing.

Pros

5 weeks PTO to start. Job security once hired.

Cons

Overworked, Underpaid. Understaffed. I feel that I have hit a ceiling with no room for growth that is beneficial to my career. Jobs above me make less money and come with more responsibilities and benefits cost more at that level also. Pay not equal to the market.

They used to be better

Pros

PTO is their last remaining quality that stands out from a lot of their competition.

Cons

Every year medical benefits get worse. There are many non-medical related companies that are far better with medical benefits now. There is also the deterioration of leadership at the top of Medxcel which so happens to coincide with the rift that is growing between Medxcel and Ascension. For a while now, I have been enduring the wishy-washy direction given by senior leadership and have seen millions of dollars wasted on projects that were never followed through with. Most of this seems to be driven by Ascension but still, how does one stay with a company who does this? And then turn around and say that there is no money for repairs and they make you get the same quotes from the same vendors over and over with no approval on projects that would benefit your facility. Medxcel is struggling to pay vendors on time. They even moved out to net-90 and are still paying late. Vendors are getting restless about this and rightfully so. We are tired, the vendors are tired. It feels like Medxcel is imploding which is an absolute shame. They started out strong and had the right things going for them. Now, they are but a shell of what was.
