Pros

If you are experienced in sales, they give you license to do what you want. You are essentially working like you are self employed with little input from team leaders.

Cons

The management are not good with people. There is little consistency or clarity over what is wanted. Favouritism and cronyism are rife. IT account managers don't want to learn any other skills as they know it all already.

Pros

Good working environment, well positioned in the industry in terms of buying power, flexibility of allowing Account Managers to negotiate with suppliers and customers to effectively run your own business within a business.

Cons

Unfortunately the culture within the business is one of cronism and bad people management. Not a bad place for someone in their first or second job in sales as they will learn a lot about the industry

Very focused on the sales department and not the whole business. Pay is not always competitive with the industry.
