Pros

Momar has great selection of products. As well as a great in office support staff for the reps in the field.

Cons

Management does not support enough. They promise everything during the onboarding process but fail to deliver. My division manager was rude to my local customers, and eventually pushed me into making changes. The email blast they are so happy about are one sided. The emails are never focused on all customers just one type.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your experience as part of the Momar family. We take your feedback very seriously and will work to ensure our management staff is properly trained on supporting their staff, but also on customer service and proper business etiquette. In addition to our employees, our customers are a vital part of our business and how we interact with them is important to our continued growth and success. We believe in the saying, "if you see something, say something," so we encourage our employees to bring matters like this to our senior management's attention, so that those concerns can be addressed properly. If we drop the ball somewhere, we encourage our employees to let us know. We welcome the opportunity to improve the way we do things and receiving your candid feedback helps us to identify our weaknesses and make improvements going forward. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.

Pros

I can’t think of any pros anymore, it truly used to be a company I was proud to work for.

Cons

The new owner is greedy and money hungry, taking advantage of long time employees and treating new ones like dirt. This used to be a great family oriented company to work for. This is no longer the case since Julian Jr. took over. Taking away coverage of travel expenses to increase their overall earnings, reduction of coverage on necessary work expenses overall. No one in the office ever answers the phone, the shipping department constantly messes things up and has no accountability for their screw ups and it never changes. They no longer want to provide company phones and expect you to use your personal phones for work related use but don’t want to reimburse for it. I often work 60+ hours a week and I’m incredibly underpaid for all the work I’m doing to earn them money. Sales of most items have little to no room for commission.

Pros

Product line up is extraordinary and chemists are on point and very helpful.

Cons

Zero presence as a business in AZ and they don’t market. Logistics are slow, complacent, unprepared and management couldn’t care less. Products are 2x - 3x the price of comparable products. There is zero urgency. Delays on everything I needed assistance with such as getting set up as a vendor for large establishments, vendor shows, shipping, invoice changes, etc. As a sales representative, you pay for half of samples, half of marketing, half of promo and half of your uniforms. Along with at least $1000 monthly in fuel costs for driving around the entire valley. It’s absurd. I have never spent so much out of my own pocket to build a brand for someone else. Long term sales employees kill it here because management hires people to build a market, fires them due to “lack of sales” and then assigns the accounts you did establish to the existing sales people. Management does not consider feedback and couldn’t care less about making beneficial changes. This is why you have a 76 year old chemical manufacturer with great products only doing $35 million in revenue annually.

Let us first thank you for your time in leaving a review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the Arizona area and will be sure to use the feedback in adjusting our tactics there. We believe our products to be premium in nature, using the highest quality industrial grade raw materials, and therefore worth the expense. However, we are consistently looking for ways to improve pricing since we know this is a top concern and to remain price competitive. We have also implemented a few new strategies that have allowed us to see many improvements in the timeliness of assisting our field employees. Thankfully, reviews like yours allow us to see what might be otherwise invisible. Our sales team has a personal investment in the success of their territory and customers, which leads to a greater sense of ownership and motivation to achieve results. We provide the necessary training and support to help execute marketing strategies effectively. We understand there is always room for improvement and will definitely keep your feedback in mind.
