5yJust to be clear MS3 doesn't charge anyone for training. You do sign an offer letter and as part of the offer you agree to remain with the company for 1 year if you go through our training program. This is clearly documented in the offer letter and the handbook so there isn't anything secret about it. Every company in the USA has this same policy this isn't something new. I had to pay back $20k for my masters degree because I didn't stay with the company long enough. If you break the agreement you have to be ready to pay the consequences.
As for Mulesoft training, thats free and has been since 2019. So no we don't require anyone to pay back $3k for any free training.
MS3 is a profit driven company for a reason. It's for our employees because as an employee they receive not just a stake in the company in terms of loyalty shares but we also pay out PROFIT Sharing. Every dollar that is saved gets paid back out to the employees. Thats why we have such huge payouts every year. Don't forget we also take the entire company to the Caribbean every year for a company all paid vacation. So profit sharing and Caribbean trips is why we work so hard on profitability not bottom lines or pinching pennies.
I personally think that Matt and Jeremiah did a fantastic job of training you and it shows. You were able to use the skills they taught you to find another job. So you should thank them for all they were able to provide for your continued success.
