Pros

- the friends I made - learning a little about writing and wordpress

Cons

- Micromanage a lot - Company management is terrible - Public holidays are not given fairly such as Wesak Day, Deepavali, Thaipusam as the company uses those holidays to replace it with extra days for Chinese New Year - Employees are expected to report every single tiny detail to everyone - If you take an MC, you will lose 1 point from your KPI, which will result in less salary. If you take 2 MCs, you will have minus 2 points and so on. - Employee review happens every month and you are expected to give reasonings for every single thing you do, if not, your marks will be less and you get less salary - If you do one mistake, it will be cost you KPI points, which again, cost you your salary - Grievances do not result in any resolutions - Pay increment is only for KPI money, not base salary - Meetings are not scheduled, as some employees or management will out of the blue ask you to join the meeting. - one full time writer is expected to handle 2 or 3 interns and proofread their work. So not only do you need to proofread your own work but you also need to read the interns work. By the way, one writer needs to write 3 articles PER DAY. So you imagine the day to day work load

Pros

- Friendly Colleagues - Company Quarter Team Building - Medical Claim - Dental Claim - Badminton After Work with Colleagues - Birthday Party

Cons

- We have to report every little detail to the bosses every day before going home (micromanagement). - Workers are given too much to do, including tasks that aren't part of their job, for example HR also have to manage websites or do SEO work. They're not paid enough for this extra work. - Every month, employees get a performance review (KPI review) where they lose 1 points if they took any MC, you will lose 2 points if took 2days MC, once points deduct, your salary also will be deducted based on the KPI. - Instead of getting paid for working extra hours, employees are given time off, which isn't fair. - Some holidays aren't treated the same. If there's an extra day off for Chinese New Year, other holidays like Wesak Day, Deepavali, and Thaipusam don't get the same treatment (perceived as unfair to workers of other races) - During tasks, bosses don't give clear instructions. When employees ask for help, they often get blamed. - Tasks are expected to be completed quickly with instant results. - Tasks frequently extend until midnight to meet KPI deadlines without overtime pay provided. - No petty cash provided to buy materials for office equipment, which poses a challenge as not all employees have personal funds to cover office expenses.

Pros

You get the opportunity to see many social media pages and how the social media market trend works

Cons

- very inconvenient if travelling by public transport - Manager is super impatient, uncaring and expects immediate results even if it's a software you have never used in your life. (He will also discard you or lower your salary without a second thought if work is not up to par) - very very minimal training is provided with your work; When training IS provided, the manager speeds through it and expects you to know everything after one lesson - Employees don't utilize 1 hour lunch, almost everyone finishes lunch in 20 mins and directly heads back to work - BE EXTREMELY PREPARED BEFORE YOU WORK HERE. Be prepared for heavy workload, little to no work life balance, heartless manager and extremely high learning curve
