Pros

NI is now more focused on specific business units/industries and applications which gives its employees a clearer direction on what accounts/ customers to focus their resources on that helps provide better customer experience as well as yields the highest returns. It is also now more process-driven which put things into proper documentation and easy tracking. Great work life balance and personally I had forged amazing long-lasting working and personal relationships with my managers, peers and direct reports over the years. Its definitely the people in the company that kept me going all these while.

Cons

When I first started working in NI, it was a great place to be in with a family-like culture where everyone helped each other out regardless which functional team you are in. Over the years especially after the founder, Dr T, stepped down as the CEO, everything starts to spiral downwards. We started to functionalize, working cross regional in a large scale, becoming more silo, process-driven and ignorant of what other functions do. Multiple major organizational changes over a short span of a few years, forced employees to spend their effort on coping with these changes instead of serving customers. One example is the recent rebranding which spent millions of dollars and yet it neither have much impact on creating awareness to new customers nor giving existing customers a better experience. I believe talented and/or experienced employees are the greatest assets to an organization. However, hundreds and probably thousands of employees were laid off because their roles were made redundant as they are not aligned with the company's direction moving forward. Sadly, it is a direction where myself and majority of us are lost in.

Pros

Nice people but terrible management style Not a standard MNC culture despite multiple location

Cons

Copied from others: Local work stress can be high. Many presentations to keep with latest info. Emails and work on weekends. Feeling of 'you are on your own' with little help Adding: Flexible working time but that just getting worse with more workload that the managers never really measure the capacity of the employee workload. Lots of Unnecessary meetings and One on one weekly due to very very poor business process management and data control (other MNCs usually held one on one with managers quarterly, but weekly here?! Too unnecessary because of poor process management!) Managers are inexperienced, unclear of the direction and made-up decisions with over idealistic mentality that lose touch with the ground work Very Poor IT support Overly stretched the employees during end of quarter Too much lip works like they are having toastmaster and sales pitch in meetings that get nothing done in actual Very misaligned communication across department Nothing consistent, everything keep changing because no one wants to make a long term effort to stabilise the operational process and solve the inconsistency Insecure leaders that never set an example Blaming individual culture instead of solving the real long term problem and process / system issue in the company
