Cons
- Pay by appointment, not hourly (You have to get to a certain point in the presentations in order to get paid, if you don't get to this point you make no money) - Production bonuses are not a lot (Roughly $50 per unit sold, you could sell over $10,000 worth of systems and would only get $50 for each unit sold) - You make no production bonus or commission unless you sell a minimum of 3 units per week. - No guaranteed hours or appointments (They will tell you that you can get 30 - 40 hours per week which is false) - Appointments often won't let you in as they are under the impression they are only getting a "gift" for doing a survey/questionnaire and we are dropping them off. (See call script in back offices) - When doing the training, you are told there is no pressure to sell - until you are doing these appointments with your friends and family to be certified and Mrs. Batchelor is on the phone with you (You have to call her) and she begins pressuring these people into buying things relentlessly. - Mrs. Batchelor will make underhanded and rude comments about customers and does not seem to care if they hear her or not. - Mrs. Batchelor speaks in a very condescending, rude and diminishing way, she will talk down to you on the phone but when it is face to face she is "nice" but still has a condescending tone. - You will spend a ton of money in gas - Only compensation you will get is a tax write off for a bunch of stuff at the end of the year. - They say they want to promote in 60-90 days, but people do not often last that long and the people that are still there for over 90 days have not moved up (Were not offered advancements and did not know this was a thing when asked) - Since November 2024, there have been 6 groups of around 10 new hires and none have stayed. - The people there want to leave but can't as they are locked into the "Future owners" program for new hires and are in long term loans for these water systems. - They make the prices sound great but it's a loan term of 180 months or 15 years. - Mrs. Batchelor is openly rude to clients. - They do not "Qualify" the calls well, deeming on predatory sales (A lot of retired, low income households you go to) - Mrs. Batchelor will make anything she does wrong or misses, out to be your fault. - Mrs. Batchelor will often say things such as "Be a team player", " You're clearly not understanding this", or "I'll remember this" - as a way to manipulate you and push you down to be a yes man. - You only get paid for 2 hours each appointment - if the appointment stretches past 2 hours (Customers enjoy talking with you and asking questions) you will still only be paid for 2 hours. Anything past the 2 hour mark is essentially volunteer work. - You cannot leave a person's home and clean up until Mrs. Batchelor tells you that you can. - It is only Mrs. Batchelor that is booking/qualifying appointments for all sales reps. - You must stick to the script 100% or Mrs. Batchelor will become irrate and talk to you like you're a child.
