Pros

1. The brand name carries external recognition - people assume prestige without knowing the reality inside. 2. Exposure to e-commerce operations at scale (though poorly run). 3. Some colleagues outside of management (merch, corporate) were decent to collaborate with.

Cons

1. The company is run like a spaza shop: cracked versions of Outlook and Teams instead of proper tools. 2. Pay is far below market value, with zero benefits. 3. Toxic culture: mean-girl management, backstabbing, and no accountability. 4. UX is misplaced under Marketing, leaving the role isolated and unsupported. 5. No UX team, despite being an online-only business, dev is constantly behind, and systems are always down. 6. Leadership lacks competence; many are in positions due to luck or privilege rather than skill. 7. Structurally chaotic, with no investment in people or processes.
