Pros

They're a swedish consulting company and do most of the regular things that consulting companies do. A very middle-of-the-road, mellanmjölk set up.

Cons

They're a swedish consulting company and do most of the regular things that consulting companies do. Try and keep employee's salaries low and push you out on assignments without seeing if it's any good or not. It's not lost on me that this is business, and that managers are also on assignments so there is a lot that falls through the gaps, and not all battles can be fought blah de blah. Heard it all before . And if you join, you will too.

Pros

Good perks and flexibility. Regular meetings Good opportunities

Cons

Management is protecting their customers rather then their own employees, as soon as conflict emerges at workplace they will not care about you. I was working for nexer in Malmö ,sweden, later fired just before my daughter was born. No explanation, no warning. I was clear about everything from the beginning and when handing in the parent leave they ignored it for months. And when I talked to my manager on site and handed him directly the paper he said that it sounds ok. The next workday my consultant manager told me they decided to let me go. I without hesitation turned to a lawyer and since this is illegal in sweden, the lawyer got right on the case. Nexer denied everything even that i ever mentioned that i was going to be a father. They even wanted money back for the time I had booked for doctor meeting to check on my baby. Unfortunately I did not have enough evidence and HR did not even care about me or that i was going to be jobless while having a baby. I strongly recommend NOT to work here. Unfortunately I could not move my case forward since they denied everything. Also later they even lost the costumer, so It was really worth firing me over them…

You can do better than Nexer

Pros

Very smooth interview process with none of the usual BS, relatively young and chill coworkers, cool place to actually make friends.

Cons

Nexer was a disappointment. I was told right at the start that the good thing about being a consultant at Nexer is that you "get to pick and choose your assignment", but that was never the case. In fact, a year after I had joined, when I wanted to refuse an assignment, I was threatened with being fired. A few of my friends worked there before me, and I made many more friends when I joined. A lot of lovely people work/worked at Nexer. Most of them have either left or been fired. Nexer is unbothered with its impact on its employees, uncaring of their health and wellbeing, and is only concerned with the bottom line. Salary negotiations are pretty terrible, overall compensation is bad, and you get nothing for your enthusiasm and hard work. On top of everything else, Nexer has a stranglehold on the consulting market here in Sweden, and they will do most anything to keep it that way. They fired friends of mine citing "a difficult market" when their useless sales team failed to find them assignments, only to throw ridiculously lavish and expensive parties (that no developer asked for) and open a new office in central Stockholm shortly after. It's all about growth and LinkedIn buzz. TL;DR: find another place to work at, if possible
