Not a nice environment

Pros

At Novum they pay salary in time, every month. Never a problem in 2 and a half year. All very transparent, over time is paid punctuality, same as the bonus on performance. HR is always willing to help and assist and they do a really good job. Health insurance, Friday drinks, company events, xmas party, coffee, tea, water, milk, bread, fresh fruit, are assured on a daily basis.

Cons

To resist in such an environment you either have an inner iron armor, or you are a natural born servant. No other options to survive long at Novum. Training is non existent. Half a day and that's it. It's the learning by doing technique, but mistake are not admitted. Paradox. I saw people got fired really not in a nice way, or, people resigning after 3 days, or resigning in a range between 1 and 3 months! I counted the colleague I had in 30 months...the people "passed by"...at least 40. I remember names and surnames by heart, so it's not an exaggeration it's the true. After 14 months I was the oldest in a team of 15. Build your opinion based on numbers, since is a bank were talking of! "Team lead in sales is not a natural leader, not up to the task. Dictatorship. Kills the joy of working, and has only one voice, yelling." Is what my ex colleague said in his review. His words are still actual in 2020 and describe the situation perfectly. The atmosphere you breath is made of fear and/or submission. It's a disgusting environment. I saw more tears at Novum than I saw during all my childhood. Tears from leaders who are supposed to encourage but are actually fragile and therefore over agressive (incapacity to lead), and tears from employees being a humiliated almost on a personal level for a work mistake. Absurd, unrealistic environment. Choose another company even if they offer 10% less salary. You wont regret it, and certainly have more growing opportunities.

A terrible environment..

Pros

- Monday to Friday, usually no weekend work required

Cons

This "bank" has the worst environment I have witnessed in my career. If you want to feel like you are back in pre-school or in the army, this is the place for you! No looking at phones during the day, not supposed to talk with colleagues while working, ask for permission to go to the bathroom or a cigarette, no internet while at work, all under the watchful eye of the team leader / manager who regularly screams at people and where employees in tears is a regular occurrence. Bonus Cons: pay is terrible! HR organisation is non-existent! people are generally sad as a result of the environment!

Horrible

Pros

Have to think a lot but the only good thing was some employees that I liked and maybe the beer Friday that I had to pay the last time without getting the money back because the company card was not working but also the beer Friday is poor

Cons

Dictatorship, not a good environment, team leader and senior, incompetent, they just put my private laptop bag in the trash, and nobody was happy there, everybody wanted to quit, I saw so many come and go. They think the employees need them otherwise I can not understand how they can act so hard in the management, especially for germans are so many jobs here, to leave was the best decision I had no life anymore. Was not allowed to chat with other colleagues at work, music not allowed, senior is the best what you can be after working many years for nothing. Casinos give you a senior position after a few months nothing special.
