The only good thing is work life balance.

Cons

Not a good place for project managers. Trust me better look for other options if you are on a job lookout.

🚨 What You're Facing Abuse of authority: Seniors using their position to isolate, manipulate, and control team members. Psychological harassment: Constant belittling, threats, and public humiliation during meetings. Retaliation culture: Fear of worsening treatment if concerns are raised to HR or management. Unsafe conditions for women: A serious red flag that must be addressed immediately. Suppression of basic rights: Denial of leave, threats to job security, and morale sabotage. Enjoyment of cruelty: A disturbing pattern where abuse is normalised and even celebrated. 🛡️ What You Can Do If you're the one trying to raise this issue—or supporting someone who is—here are some steps to consider: 1. Document Everything Keep records of incidents: dates, times, what was said/done, and who was present. Save emails, messages, and meeting notes that show patterns of abuse or threats. 2. Approach HR Strategically Present documented facts, not emotions. Emphasize patterns, safety concerns (especially for female employees), and the impact on mental health and productivity. 3. Know Your Rights Review your company’s code of conduct, whistleblower policy, and grievance redressal mechanisms. In India, workplace harassment—especially gender-based—is covered under laws like the POSH Act (Prevention of Sexual Harassment). 💬 Final Thought No doubt Osttra is very good company however Indian management in Osttra company is not good hence management needs to be change so that juniors can also feel safe when they are interacting with seniors or if they need any support. Here, juniors are feeling alone and powerless due to seniors politics.

Pros

Salary packages are good enough

Cons

It is newly formed by merger between 2 big ones, so there will be lot of old IHS markit employees seen in osttra. There is always a discrimination between IHS markit and osttra employees. Also they can fire you immediately as was done in my team for 3-4 employees in front of me saying underperformance, not listening to managers etc etc. Managers follow micromanagement practices

Lot of leaves Quick on boarding for new joiners

Cons

Managers don't allow to take leaves Micromanagement Have to stay online on teams Management forcing employees to come to office Managers in India implement their own processes and policies Nothing much to learn technology wise, outdated tech is used Processes are over complicated No onsite, No option to switch the project Low salary, Appraisals not up to the standard when compared to other product based organization This is a start up but call themselves as a market leader HRs don't support here Mostly people leave this org due to work culture and rude managers

CRAP company

Pros

Absolutely CRAP company - do not join it

Cons

Typical slow class company - so call SMALL company. there are some 50-60 year ke buddhe sitting in this company, who are only there for writing escalation emails entire day, watching teams status, whatsapp status of employees and discussing that in 1-1 catchup , yes, really, so basically there managers sitting at AD / D level have literally no work and are that free that they keep eye on teams status / whatsapp status. On the name of Diwali gift , do you know what they distribute ? 2 chocalates ..Yes, that's the level of cost cutting . Back biting, bootlicking culture - only such bootlickers get promoted in this company and that too every 1 year / at max every 2 years.. If you tell them truth or if you show them areas where process needs to be improved, you become their enemy. Poeple sitting at the post of manager do not even know how to quantify or calculate the benefits or revenue coming from the project.. Poeple working in this company only find ways to pull others down , so they can save their position or find ways to climb up the ladder. HRs are just puppets in the hands of management. There is no internal job posting culture in this company guys.. If you have to apply to some internal opportunity, you have to inform current manager about that role first. And that manager used to ensure to do back biting to other team manager to ensure that prospective position does not get finalized, regardless of how much efforts you put for interviews, such is the level of politics in this company. You apply to n number of different projects, but due to that backbiting , all the applications get cancelled, and you won't even know what is happening. You ask for promotions , that managers say there is no use of promotion because it hardly increases your salary by max 2-3 percent more than what hike you get normally..sometimes that fellow used to say even I am not promoted from last 10 yrs, so why do you want to get promoted... No awards , no value of hard work, no recognition. Sometimes some oldies say there are only 2 percent of people in entire company who get awarded , so do not think as to why you are not awarded.
