Pros

You can learn a lot about what not to do when managing people if you work here.

Cons

During my brief time working here I saw so many People of Color and LGBTQ+ folks get fired here. Close to two dozen people. For a small company that's a lot of people. It felt like every other week someone was getting fired for not meeting unreachable demands set by the wannabe tech bros that own this company. They talk about being diverse and act like they want to give overlooked deserving people opportunities, and uplift them. Truth is they just want to employ people who they can overwork and underpay. They either give people crazy goals or no direction (there was no inbetween). If you don't meet these goals or figure out how to do something that was not clearly outlined, they will fire you. No coaching, no improvement plan, just fire you...that is if you are POC or LGBTQ+. Unless you are a heterosexual of European decent, or if you are on the underpaid outsourced team, you should expect to walk on eggshells at this company. As an ally, this behavior shook me to my core. I saw so many good people get undervalued, underpaid, overworked and then thrown out when Outco was done with them. This company makes a bunch of money from their career program, check out the prices on their website. Yet they never have enough money to pay people fairly or hire enough people so that everyone isn't over worked. They promise all the full timers big pay raises, and equity packages once certain company goals are met, but this'll never happen and it's just a dangling carrot. The goals change every month. If you value your mental health, work anywhere else, but this company. I'm begging you. Unless they are willing to pay for your therapist! But...they won't.

Pros

Very diverse and passionate group of people

Cons

Outco has high turnover at every level, including (or especially) c-suite. Things are constantly evolving, and processes are vague or non-existent. If you decide to work here, be ready to navigate through ambiguity, rise through the ranks quickly, change roles at the drop of a dime, and leave within a few months.

A BIG NO to this company

Pros

I would like to say they pay competitive salary but I think that comes at a cost of your mental health

Cons

I typically do not write reviews but just wanted to write this review so that people looking to join this company are aware of how things work internally. The values of the company are shallow. They keep iterating that they are value-driven companies but when the time comes to act on the values, it is absolutely nothing. I always felt like an outsider because people from varied ethnicity are not welcomed here, they def hire them to look better on the outside Now coming to the Leadership team, I would agree with what most people have mentioned here- They have no VISION! There are a lot of self-praise and blame games that I saw them playing on a daily basis. Most of the time they just bad-mouth their ex-employees. The company has been struggling with finances and is deeply stuck in lawsuits. In my tenure at Outco, I did not learn anything. Had I known all these things prior to joining the company, I would have never joined.
