Do your due diligence...

Pros

The company was thriving back in 2015. I met a lot of hard working and smart individuals. We were considered a "tribe" and did what was best for the company and most importantly for each other.

Cons

Since the pivot in 2017, the new CEO has emphasized culture and has tried to reshape the direction of the company. Company culture is defined by who you hire, fire and promote. The original cast of co-founders and long term employees have been promoted into bigger roles, however, they lack the knowledge, intuition or desire to push the company or be accountable for their behavior. There is a lot of talking but not a lot of action. It is unfortunate, since there was a time where those stock options could have actually be worth something. For anyone looking at opportunities at Prolifiq, do your due diligence. Ask about the company's financial health. Question whether or not the person you are going to report has the ability to and the desire to help grow your career.

Pros

New CEO is trying to breathe new lift into the company.

Cons

Original cast of characters still play a big role in the company when they don't have the expertise or desire. Treats developers with no respect. Think they know it all.

Thank you for the feedback - It is greatly appreciated and valued. We have many initiatives in play that span across all of our business segments, but none more important than our Employees' Success and that can never be lost as we are all working very hard to drive Customer Success. I'll be working closely with the leadership team to ensure everyone of us is there to support you (our people) as we work through our business objectives with accountability & transparency. As always, if there's anything specific you would like to share with me, I'd be more than happy to meet with you to get a better perspective so the issues you are referencing can be addressed. Thank you, VK

Pros

There are a lot of good people who work there. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot. BYOD is nice.

Cons

Management is at times very unorganized. Dev teams are best described as cliques and can be very unwelcoming. Expect to work long hours, I remember many times working into the following morning / weekend. Lack of communication to employees. Never hit that 4 day work week goal :(

We attempt to provide an environment that is exciting, challenging and empowering. It is however not for everyone. In this case, based on this reviewer’s negative commentary, it is likely best they moved on so they can find fulfillment in their career. Any organization that is built around collaborative teams will develop work habits and patterns that could appear “cliquish” to an outsider or newcomer. It is incumbent on the team to welcome and embrace new members; however, it is also incumbent on teammates to “earn” their spot on the team. This is based on both pure skill sets but also includes social skills and communication. And long work hours are part of a dynamic, high-energy, growth environment. Especially when developing new capabilities/products on a tight time schedule. In terms of the other comments: management prides itself on giving employees the tools necessary to do their job. The comment regarding the desk chair clearly did not come from senior management. And lastly, the 4-day work week was always presented as a journey, not a destination. It was about working smarter not harder. Again, we never like to see anyone leave the company. But, in this case it seems like it is in the best interests of the author and we sincerely hope they find a workplace that meets their expectations. -Jeff Gaus
